Then maybe someone hacked your account and changed the password. Have you tried this: https://steemit.com/recover_account_step_1 ? You might be able to recover your old acc back.     I dont think someone hacked it. It has been dormant ever since the last day my previous device crashed.

    I will try the recovery method you just mentioned.
