Digital Painting by Ageliki CABO SUNSET

in #art7 years ago

I have always painted in oils and acrylics, but I have started painting digitally and I think that I can say it suits my painting style I believe.

Digital painting takes some time to learn and some things are harder like layering and blending. But the benefits of digital painting are enormous. No mistakes that can't be undone. No waiting for paint to dry. No smudging of paints. No smells or lacquers or paints. No messy cleanup. I can paint inside on my couch next to the fireplace. I wish I had started digital painting sooner.

This digital painting is from an old black and white photo I took on vacation in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. It was such a nice Sunset. I can still remember the coolness that night when I was in my flip flops still wet from the days swim. Funny how we remember such things when we look at an old photo.

I hope you like my new art form in digital painting. Let me know what you think about my work. You can be brutally honest with me I can take it.

Wow, that is an amazing picture. What do you mean by digitally painting? Is it a particular software that you are using? I know David Hockney creates some of his amazing artwork on an iPad.

Hi kezza, digital paintings are painted on software like photoshop. You use brush's and draw with colors like real paint. But only on software. No clean up or mess. And you can show your work to others without the need of photographing the painting. It never looks like the real thing. I hope you have a great day.

Thanks zeitlini for explaining.
