Ghosts of the past

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Hello! Today I was in an unusual place. Previously, this kind of place met at every step. But now it happens less and less often, because in in Ukraine a ban on the symbols of the Soviet Union was introduced. Whether this refers to forbidden symbols, I do not know. But, I think, all this will be removed soon. Therefore, I hasten to photograph such a culture. In the end, despite the lack of sophistication, this is still the culture of the whole generation. Just one of the ideals of this culture was the work of a simple worker. Without embellishment.
And I respect the work of a person in any of his manifestations.

For example, this Palace of Workers was built by the workers themselves in 1953. He organized various circles for workers, their children and other citizens. Is free. In the Palace there is a cinema hall in which one of the best acoustic systems is present. Now, of course, there is nothing like this. But there is also a library in which the librarian Irina Ivanovna works. Irina Ivanovna has been working in her for 53 years. She was Longest surviving member of the club, which no one needs now.

P.S. The photos were taken by phone and a new camera. This was the first test, so do not judge strictly.

interesting place.
do you know?
Irina Ivanovna is still working here??

Yes, recently she was 80 years old and the management of the plant congratulated her on her jubilee.

Well to me there's no difference. The photos look splendid all the same. So all the art work was done by one person? WOW!! Why are they banning the symbols of Soviet Union. Isn't is part of history? According to me it forms part of the Ukrainian history. But ok. The art work is very impressive inded

Thank you very much for the comment!

Banning history of any kind will lead to it becoming the present. And great pictures, would love to see more before it gets stored or destroyed.
