i've done some local regattas, but its also my dream to liveaboard. Catalinas are great! and anything above 27 (as you said) is a good size to live on. My sailing goal is also to sail the whole Caribbean on a +30 footer (preferably)... then go to Ecuador through the panama canal... but i need a boat first :). I'm happy to find a sailor here though... (not many sailors on steemit that i know of). I like catamarans as well, they are great for comfort and beaching right into the picture-perfect beach... but personally i see myself more on a mono-haul, as i like racing and challenging weather ;)
you made my name origin sound way cooler than it is so i accept your proposition ;D
Cool I am planning to build a solar catamaran to navigate the great loop from the Great Lakes down the Ohio to the Mississippi down to the gulf and back up the ICW along the eastern coast and back up the Erie Canal to the Great Lakes. This is a 7000 mile loop and can give me a platform to do my art and photography and see all of the nature along the way.
I do enjoy the sailing of small boats like the Catalina 27 I built a screened in porch that is the same size to feel what the space would be like to live in. I love the challenge of sailing and the freedom it allows. I have found a few sailors on this platform just check #sailing out now and then. I follow anyone I find on that tag. I can see steem working as a basis for many sailing communities. The long term storage of the blog Blockchain can allow for shared information about cruising and other sailor to sailor resources. It also can help to earn an income as a live aboard.
Oh earthy I love that description it does feel earthy. In a way I am playing with building an island and I thought that may be the direction of this piece and yet it grew into a tree.
I see you are into sailing ⛵️ I love sailing and am planning on building a catamaran to sail around the world. I may buy a little Catalina 27 first as they are cool little boats and really big enough for me to live on. I am so attracted to the sea and yet I live in the middle of a desert 🌵What sailing have you done and what are your dreams of sailing ⛵️ do tell I am all ears 👂
Curious is your name from the Egyptian Anka and Polo like Marco? @ankapolo
