Art explosion artcontest week 29 theme: "Awakening"

Hello everyone, when I saw this contest, I couldn't hold back. I'm entering this art contest with the theme:" Awakening ".

Hallo allemaal, toen ik deze contest voorbij zag komen, kon ik mij niet inhouden. Ik doe mee aan deze contest met het thema " awakening".

Toen ik over "awakening" nadacht, zag ik een verhaal voor mij van een meisje die de hoop verloren was en toen verscheen er een engel die haar nieuwe hoop gaf.
Dit is wat er uit is gekomen:)

I used aquarelle pencils and waterpaint to colour them in and used a fineliner to make the drawing pop out more.
The colours in the background, are a symbol of the power "the awakening" brings.
Ofcourse it's not likely to see your guardian angel everyday.

Ik heb aquarelle kleurpotloden gebruikt en waterverf om ze in te kleuren. Ook heb ik een fineliner gebruikt om de tekening er uit te laten springen. De kleuren in achtergrond, staan voor de kracht die "de ontwaking" met zich meebrengt, je ziet natuurlijk niet elke dag je beschermengel.

Some things are a little bit different then the sketch version, but that's fine because I love the finished result, and I had a lot of fun while drawing and painting this.

Sommige dingen zijn een klein beetje anders dan de schetsversie maar dat is prima omdat ik gek ben op het resultaat en ik had ook veel plezier in het tekenen en schilderen.
