A Watercolor Painting Process

Hello everyone, I just want to share this latest artwork I did last day.
Iron Man is one of my favorite super hero because of his advance technology, knowledge and attitude.
This painting is done with watercolor on a 200gsm watercolor in two sessions.
Here are the materials I used:
- Sakura Koi watercolor (base and layers)
- Fabriano 200 gsm watercolor paper
- 0.5 and 0.05 Unipin (black) (for details)
- White ink Souffle gel pen (for details)
- Pencil (for outlines and drafts)
Process
First , I have to draw the outline of Iron Man using a pencil on a watercolor painting. I decided to draw Iron Man's upper body and focus more on his face and shoulder part.
After the outline, I painted the background with blue wash. This will accentuate my subject.
Then, I painted the red part of the Ironman suit as the first layer of the painting, this will be the base.
After the red parts has settled and dried I added golden orche for the yellow/gold part of the suit. I also let it dried so that i can add details later.
Using Black Inked pen, I darkened some part of the Iron Man suit. This will give life to the base painting. Make sure that the base paint is already dried so that the ink will transfer well and nicely.
I also added a washed black paint to give shadow on the painting. then added layers of paint to give volume to the picture.
To give more color to the painting, I added another layer of watercolor. I focused more on the shadowy part of the suit and add more details to the background.
Almost there
Using white ink pen, I addded details to the shiny and edgy part of the Iron Man suit. This will highlight the parts of the painting,

You just need to know the source of light to achieve the metal effect and also use near metal colors such as silver, gray and brown for rust.
