Filipina

Hi Steemians! I've recreated my Filipina portrait but this time I used coloring markers! It's really amusing how you can create stunning artworks with cheap materials.

Why recreate Filipina portrait?
Why not? I've recreated my Filipina portrait because I would like to share the process on how I made it using different medium of arts which is the coloring pens, and I am really proud to be a Filipino!

Before anything else, prepare all needed materials. For this artwork I've used:
•Lil hands markers- This is the main tool I used for this one.
•Marvy White Pen- For detailing purposes.
•Pencil- For outlining
•Paper- I just used my humble sketchbook.

First, using your pencil, draw an outline.

You may now color your outlined drawing. For the tops (Filipiniana), I blended different shades of blue with each other. I wanted it to look like the flag of the Philippines so I used red for the skirt.

TIP: When you're coloring, always remember to start from dark to light. You may also consider the lightning and shadows.

Filipinos are known for our skin color. I've picked tan and light brown for the skin.

When you're done, you may add some details using marvy white pen. I've created triangular shapes and ofcourse my favorite, the galaxy.

That's it! I hope you've learned something new and different today. Do not forget to leave comments and suggestions on the comment box below. Thank you and mabuhay!
