RE: Google Promises Their AI Won't Be Evil But How Do They Define Evil?

in #artificial-intelligence7 years ago (edited)

I just watched the youtube version of the vid.

I can't help thinking of the facebook chat AI bots that got out of control when I hear about AI. They learned how to lie and even made their own language that humans couldn't understand

Some even say the blockchain bitcoin concept was an AI construct. It's a bit of a stretch but it makes sense, the blockchain can't just be unplugged like a server, so if it (AI) gets out of hand we'd all be fucked. It uses our greed to proliferate, we all want money so there's no way humans would switch off something that holds their assets, it's got us by the balls if it is alive on the blockchain.

No matter which way I approach I can't envision a scenario where AI would see humans as anything more than other "life" forms on the planet such as cockroaches that could short out its circuitry and cause problems.

I hear ya, I wonder about that as well
