Hi everyone!

Here’s my entry for “Artstorm Contest # 86 Day 5 - 'Favourite Things to Do in the Weather' Week - Theme Today - In Stormy Weather.”

This is a digital drawing of a tornado 🌪 something that is seen quite often here in Northern Iowa, where I currently reside. With every tornado comes a mighty storm, which usually involves torrential rainfall, many times golf ball sized hail, thunder, lightning, and a low roar that sounds like a train rolling down a track. Very frightening looking, sounding, and can be extremely dangerous. A tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air that is in contact with both the surface of the Earth and a cumulonimbus cloud or, or cumulus cloud. Tornadoes come in many shapes and sizes, and may also be in groups. They are often visible in the form of a condensation funnel. The funnel is rotating rapidly around and around, spiraling downwards towards the ground. if it hits the ground, the funnel will pick up debris, and dust. Most tornadoes have wind speeds less than 110 miles per hour, are about 250 feet across, and travel a few miles before dissipating. The most extreme tornadoes can attain wind speeds of more than 300 miles per hour, and are more than two miles wide. They can actually stay on the ground for dozens of miles. I definitely like to watch the stormy weather in Iowa, it may save your life!
