Acrylic painting on canvas- addction to drugs
This my entry for @aksinya 's art challenge. Anyone who has experimented with various drugs will understand this painting ;)
Now days I just drink beer or a few glasses of wine. But in my 20's I was taking all kinds of drugs.
I believe fear and Loathing pretty much sums it up -
A whole galaxy of swirling madness... it's hard not to go back again and again...
I used acrylic and a gloss medium to create this painting. It's 24" x 36" deep edge.
Hope you enjoyed my entry :) Let me know what you think
This is awesome!
You deserve a:
So many little details to explore. I thought trying to describe it in itself would be a bit of a trip haha. On the trip were helicopters coming to get you? Did death try to sell you a baseball bat? I just had a thought it would be interesting to do "tripping" art and ask people to describe what they think the picture is about and how it tells a story. --I only 420 nowadays though.
I actually was sober when I painted this as I don't do drugs anymore. These images are like doodling. Just random ideas and stuff from my imagination. I can't imagine what it would look like tripping :D
I hear when you get old and hospitalized they start giving you the good drugs. heh So maybe one day.
Oh I bet they do...
I used to do UV black light paintings back in the day. Those looked AMAZING!
I think that it is great!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! Thanks, glad ya like it. It's a crazy one :)
it should be)))
yeah, just like an acid trip XD

Great painting! Such talent
Thank you man, I'm lucky to be able to share it with you guys here :)
Awesome post @jameshsmitharts
Very nice, gives me a feel of a dazed and confused mind and the orange background balances it all.
Bam! At first glance I saw blue. Then each part started popping out, filly out thoughts. Great stuff!
I've been clean and sober for about 5 years now, I know the draw. Congrats on quitting.
Thanks. I was smoking skunk and working on art projects. It was so strong to the point that I couldn't focus. I just decided I didn't need it. A nice glass of wine will do me fine :)
