As close to abstract as my brain will let me get--painting:
Oil on canvas 20" x 18"
Based on Frida Kahlo's a few small nips.
This was fun and very much a challenge.
I will post a progression series after the contest.
I find the process of painting to be as interesting as the completed work.
I hope you will join me.

Actually, a true abstract would not have the likeness of Frida Kahlo. It would just be all background.
I guess I was coloring outside of the lines.
Abstract in my brain is anything outside the the normal field of vision of everyday life. That is how busy my brain is up there :)

I can now see what I would paint as a true abstract. I unfortunately I don't think I will be able to paint it in time for the contest.
Out of town work takes up too much time. . . . I may paint it anyway.
