Hi @aksinya, I am choosing #13 for first place and #14 for second place. These two paintings are very professionally done in my opinion. They both encompass the spirit of FAUVISM+LANDSCAPE nicely. The brush strokes are dabbed and thick, reminiscent of the Fauvism style. Painting #13 is very well balanced and #14 has a classic appeal as far as landscapes are concerned. I don't see many votes for #13 but lots for #14 so I'm not sure why that is. I prefer #13 for it's portrayal of the subject matter and the dabbed brushstrokes that create the dappled light in the image but would have liked to see a little more 'wildbeast' use of color in both of them. Good-luck everyone, it was fun to participate in aksinya's contest!
P.S my painting entry @sourcebird is called Aerial Landscape from a Starcraft in case you wondered how it fit into the theme of this competition.
