By the author Francisco de Goya, Los fusilamientos dates from 1813-1814, belonging to the Spanish Rococo. It is an oil on canvas and represents the struggle of the Spanish people against French domination in the historical context of the War of Independence between the two days of May 1808, the day on which the Spanish revolt and is also represented by the author. This painting was commissioned by Luis María de Borbón y Vallabriga. It is conserved in the Prado Museum.
