Hello steemians, happy sunday to you all; i must say I'm thrilled about sharing this illustration with you......i had hoped to share it earlier, but I couldn't because it was a class assessment and i had to give it up for submission.
The idea behind this was getting a picture which is more like a fantasy(something out of the ordinary that can only be imagined) and making an illustration with that.
Initially, I had thought that was too weird for a class assessment, but then i think I loved the outcome thereafter 😀

Apologies for not taking the progress shots; truth is we weren't permitted to leave our sits and moreover, we had only three hours finish up with this.....not to worry, I'd put up a short explanation on the process best as i can.
Given the short period, i made my sketch a bit less complicated so i wouldn't have to run down my time; then as quickly as i made the sketch, i tried to cover the hair in about 1 hour 20 monutes........ But of course that was just my imagination as i ended up dragging 2 hours 35 minutes alongside with me 😀
For the hair, making a quick mixture of the colours purple, blue and green was an option...I'd taken some time to tint them so they'd not come out, looking too natural and raw.
Then i proceeded to applying them on each strand while making omissions on areas with darker shades; this i did because i had it in mind to apply the darker shades using black ballpoint pen which I did... You can take a closer look at the illustration to verify that
Like i said earlier, making the hair ate up my time so i had to rush over the rest of the process in in less than 30 minutes......
Despite the rush, i still ended up submitting an half done work; taking a look at the chest, i thought i shouldn't have left it empty...... But I'm glad i was able to get that far because it's "better done than not done".
