But is it good sharing referral link?
Let me tell you my concern
I have seen many big guys flagging someone telling he has shared a refferal link on his post. I wanted to do some extra investigation so I went through his profile. I was surprised in every 2-3 posts he has been contineously sharing referral links from crypto referal sites.
Aren't rules are same for all here??
I can tell you some big accounts are doing too much monopoly here just because they are whales, and they simply don't want to be surpassed by others.
Whats wrong with making a bit more money with referral links? A good blog post can rank high on google. If u have referral links there you could be making more money after the 7 days payout for years to come.
Yes, I have also kind of same thought about having some way of monetization to utilize possible future search engine traffic. But what I want to talk here is
" Yes people are using referral links, you can notice that in many posts. But those big profile whore shares their referral link on their own posts are flagging new users who does same on his post."
this is the case I'm talking about. If it's allowed on the platform then everybody should get benefit from this. But Why this monopoly?? Why the big accounts only?
I don't see why you would get flag for sharing a link to make money in your blog. It's the same thing as me sharing a referral link to steemit.com in my website, facebook, youtube or any other social media. Seem like the downfall of steemit will be the whales who are abusing their power. It's like we have to watch everything we do or say as it could have detrimental effect to our rep if ever we caught a whale's attention in his bad day. We should treat everyone with respect and consider their point of view, no matter their SP. I see the good in flagging but there are bad in it too.
It's my 5th month on the platform.By now I have somewhat realized that some of the whale accounts are whale just because of their money. If you go through their blog you notice their contents are just shit, sometimes a sentence that gives no sense but rewarded $100++. And here are other guys that produce good piece of articles but gets no any rewards/votes.
This way steemit is loosing good content creators and can't attract any new...because they have many options to monetize their contents.
Have you ever noticed whale accounts just flagging some contents because the author is minnow and he's coming to hot/trending page somehow?
Yes I know a few, but they probably have earned their voters respect or friendship. Same thing as your friends liking your selfie. Do I get jealous that when I make 1000 words post and only get $3. While someone posts only 100 words or less gets $100. Hell yes! But I just focus in my own blog and do my own thing. Regardless of what everyone else are doing. You should do the same.
And no I have not seen whales flagging up n coming minnows. Again, I just focus on my own blog and don't have time to take notice on what whales are doing. I read their blogs, like this guy @acidyo but they are the ones I follow. If I don't like what they r doing then I simply unfollow. Getting into politics in Steemit can only harm you. Strongly advice against it.
I didn't know about that actually, But a or 2 week ago someone posted a very good analysis with proof on that topic.
Yeah I'm not talking about everybody. I am here because i also like his posts :)
steem on!!
Obviously adding them in comments onto other people's unrelated posts is frowned upon. I was talking about adding referrals to sites I trust myself at the end of my own posts.
I'm not talking against referral links. Allowing some and flagging others for the same reason wouldn't make it trustworthy. Instead it's discouraging for new users.I've seen scenario on many posts/comments.Hello, @acidiyo I am also talking about the referral links at the bottom of the post. I just shared what I've found on some of the users profile though.
I don't think flagging posts just cause they add referrals to them should be acceptable. It also depends on what the sites they are linking to are and their history.
Yes,it was. And the guy who flagged it mentioned on comment that he flagged a post because it contained a referral link. The post was good, author talked about steemfollower. reviewed it and inserted his steemfollower referral link at the bottom.
I don't know, is it spam steemfollower link if the article is good enough??
