Some time ago I tried learning the ropes of 3D modeling by downloading some free software and following some guides and tutorials. Mostly Blender and a bit of Daz3d. Surely, a couple days after that, Facebook started advertising 3D software and tutorials to me, even though I had not contacted anybody who had any experience in the field and I hadn't linked my FB account with anything else. I realize that compared to some of the other comments this is not as creepy, especially since my online activities were traced but it had nothing to do with my actual movements in the outside world, but still, that bothered me.
