Regarding my first question, has there been anything developed on the steemit blockchain, or is currently being talked about, a way to reward content that is still awesome (getting comments and upvotes), but is past payout?

Howdy @protegeaa!
If someone comments on an old post (past payout), should we upvote it, or would the commenter not be rewarded?
I have a follow up question below.

Jeff, do you know at what point we might start earning SBD's again?
Don't get me wrong, I like earning Steem and Steem Power, as I'm forever trying to reach my personal goal of getting the elusive 500 SP slider. But, I miss my SBD's 👍
I hope I'm not out of line by giving what I think is the answer, as Jeff is very knowledgeable and will likely give you a much better answer.
Right now the ratio of SBD value to Steem value is over 5%, so no SBD is produced. When Hardfork 20 hits (should be later this month), it will raise the debt ceiling to 10% with a reduction at 9%. So when it gets up to 9%, we'll start getting less and less until it hits 10% and then it will stop again. With the price of Steem lowering even more, we could already be at that point. I haven't seen anyone post on it recently. I'm curious to see what Jeff says.
Never out of line.
This is a community and I'd rather have another Steemian give a better answer, or maybe a clearer answer for the other person, than try to hog all the glory.
This seems like a good answer, btw. And it won't invalidate eligibility for Steem 😉

Cool. I didn't want to be stepping on your toes.
Step away. I'm not expert, just trying to help people out.

Thank you @themanwithnoname I think Jeff you a thumbs up on your summary. 👍 Now I just need to read up on Hardfork 20 .
Best case scenario for Ethereum is that it is the native value layer (currency) of the entire internet. Best case for Bitcoin is the internet version of gold (gold is less than 1% of total wealth).
What's the best case scenario for Steem?
Happy to partecipate to the second round. This is my question:
Can you explain what is the big role of the upvoting bots?
I would like ti understand if they are really important to earn, to get new followers or something else.
Thank you!

Now that the price of SBD is below $1 again, aren't we supposed to be getting interest on it?
Steam is a very strong currency I expect it to rise as soon as possible

Jeff, I have a question about curation rewards. A while back I believe you posted that curation rewards were returned to the poster if upvoted under the 30 minute mark.
My question is: If I try to follow the 30 minute rule, do I need to upvote and leave a comment at the same time? Or can I upvote at 30 minutes and come back and leave a comment later?
It seems that I really like answering your comments, and Jeff will likely cover this in his response, but the timing will change in HF 20. You can read more about it here. https://steemit.com/@steemitblog/steem-velocity-hardfork-hardfork-20
Thank you.
