The digital assistants have a hard time with their owners: Alexa, Siri and Cortana are simply not used, as now a Comscore investigation found out.

Amazon Echo, Google Home and Co. are mainly confronted with simple tasks, which are actually not worthy of theirs.

Assistants: Only a few use the assistants for shopping

So 60 percent of the users ask general questions and 57 percent inquire about the weather. 54 percent still command the digital assistant to play certain pieces of music. In the next places, the betting will follow as an alarm or timer (41 percent) and the call to remember at a certain time (39 percent). Just 27 percent of the respondents said the digital assistants use smart home applications and disappearing eleven, respectively, eight percent of users order goods or food.

This is actually sobering in the face of the fact that the devices can significantly more. And science, more precisely, a research group at the Aalen University of Applied Sciences, has also worked with the digital assistants and scientifically compared the abilities of the digital assistants. As the winner of this contest, Alexa emerged, Siri and the Google Assistant were on the same level, and Cortana hung out the others.
