The reason people light candles in churches is not just because churches are dark, but because lighting the candle completes the tri-plane reality of mind, body and spirit. They have a belief, a thought and the lighting of the candle makes it real in the physical world. If it doesn’t happen in the physical world it is merely imagination, fantasy. The gesture of lighting the candle is far more important that it appears on the surface because it is the first step in making things manifest into the physical world from the world of the mind and the world of the spirit.
We all agree that thoughts produce effects in the physical world. So… what makes one thought more powerful in producing results than other thoughts? It’s the intensity with which it is thought and felt, and the duration of the thought. The ether around us, the more rapidly vibrating dimension of the spirit, where physical manifestation begins, can be more effectively permeated and saturated by sincere gratitude than by any other means. Let me give you an analogy: Using your computer off-line is a wonderful experience. You can create documents, record and save data. But……when you connect to the Internet, you now have access to broadcast your message to over one hundred million people. A state of sincere gratitude elevates your thought vibrations to more effectively harmonize with the realm where everything begins.
Let’s reconnect with a state of sincere gratitude. I said “reconnect”, not produce, which is a very important difference. To reconnect means to make active something that was already present. First, what is sincere gratitude and how does it feel? Have you ever lost your keys and then found them? In that moment of finding them, you experienced a state of sincere gratitude! Sincere gratitude has a strong physical sensation accompanying it. When your mind had gone through all the terrible things that could happen from losing your keys and then, in finding them, that was a moment of pure sincere gratitude.
