War equipment relics of the American army in World War 2 in Biak Island, Papua, Indonesia. This photo I took while traveling on the island of Biak, Papua, eastern Indonesia at the end of november 2017.

On this island there are several important sites of World War II relics. At the location not far from Biak Airport, is a Japanese defense fort in World War II, then attacked and controlled by the American army. The name of this location is "Goa Japan" or "Binsari Cave". You can find it in Google.

After mastering the location, the American army built the headquarters there. they relocate a lot of their war equipment there. there are cars, cannons, anti-air guns, machine guns and others, also including bombs of various sizes.

After World War II is ended. The American Army might be forgot to bring home all their war equipment. ;-) lol... So, some of that war equipment are still left on the Biak Island to this day. Then become obsolete objects of the second world war history site in Biak Island.

For yours additional information. The Battle of Biak was part of the Niugini campaign in World War II. The battle was carried out by the United States Army face to the Imperial Japanese Army from 27 May 1944 to 20 June 1944. Led by general Mac Arthur, as high command Us Army in Pacific.
