Abandoned for the last 30 years of it's 100 year presence in Lobitos, Peru. These were built with Oregon pine. Prefabricated abroad, shipped to Peru by a Petroleum company and assembled on site.
I have seen this structure slowly fall to pieces over the last decade. Every piece of wood as been recycled by the local community over the years.

yes I agree with you. Before I did not as I thought it was bad to reclaim old materials as it was a destruction of heritage. But look at the larger picture of history, this is very normal and I have seen many examples of it.
