Hey Steemians, here is the third part of my "Krampnitz" photo series. More than two-thirds of the area is uninhabited and abandoned. Many artists and graffiti sprayers use the space to make themselves real, but the diligent artist is nature, it shapes, breaks old structures and reinvents itself constantly.
Hey Steemians, hier ist der dritte Teil meiner „Krampnitz“- Fotoserie. Mehr als zweidrittel der Anlage ist unbewohnt und verlassen. Viele Künstler und Graffitisprayer nutzen den Freiraum, um sich zuverwirklichen. Der fleißigste Künstler ist dennoch die Natur, sie formt, bricht alte Strukturen und erfindet sich jeden Tag aufs Neue.

The cavalry and tank academy was created in 1935 in Potsdam district Krampnitz. The site of the military facility is about 120 ha in size. The formative buildings are the tower, the officers 'mess hall, the officers' dormitory and the ensign dormitory. The terrain is used as a backdrop, so here scenes shot for the movies Enemy at the Gates, Resident Evil, My Guide, Inglourious Basterds, Effi Briest and Monuments Men. Back in the days, more than 11,000 people lived in Krampnitz, comparable to a german middle-sized town. Although the buildings are mostly gutted but you can still find many testimonials of the time.
Die Kavallerie- und Panzertruppenschule Krampnitz (Heeres-Reitschule) entstand 1935 im Potsdamer Ortsteil Krampnitz. Das Gelände der Militäranlage ist rund 120 ha groß. Die prägenden Bauten sind der weithin sichtbare Turm , das Offizierkasino, das Offizierswohnheim und das Fähnrichswohnheim. Das Gelände wird als Kulisse genutzt, so wurden hier u. a. Szenen zu den Kinofilmen Enemy at the Gates, Resident Evil, Mein Führer, Inglourious Basterds, Effi Briest und Monuments Men gedreht. In der Vergangenheit haben in Krampnitz zur Höchstzeit über 11000 Menschen gelebt, vergleichbar mit einer deutschen mittelgroßen Kleinstadt. Obwohl die Gebäude zum Großteil entkernt sind, kann man noch viele Zeugnisse der Zeit finden.
