The earth will aways take it back.
On one of my dive trips around Vancouver Island I spend a couple of days diving in the waters around Flores Island and the community of Ahousaht BC.
Ahousaht, also spelled Ahousat, is the principal settlement on Flores Island. Accessible only by water or air, Ahousaht is a small community predominantly composed of First Nations people from the Nuu-chah-nulth nation.
Due to the difficulty of travel for the most part in and out of the area, things tend to get left once they have worn out their usefulness. This old loader and the surrounding small saw mill was completely abandoned and over grown. It was a very interesting sight to see and explore.
Mother Nature will reclaim, that for sure. Travelling to these more remote places is very fascinating and beautiful. Everyone one I met with the community were fantastic and the diving was great as well.
Thanks for reading.

You probably know about @customnature and their 'abondonedshit' contest. If not you could cleanup.
Thank you sir! I had not seen this yet. I appreciate the info.
scottdphoto , you came out of nowhere and you are killing it in Steem with stunning content. This truly shows that when one is dedicated success does not take long to follow.
scottdphoto is a straight shooter and I am glad to see that he continues to give solid advice.
Thank you I appreciate that. I love this platform and that I get to share images and stories with all of you.
I love images that show mother nature reclaiming what was once hers. Have you seen those shots of the trees growing through cars and stuff? Unreal.
these days we rarely get to see good photography with the even better message, a thumbs up and a resteem from my side to NATURE. cheers...
That's true, little by little Mother Nature will be claiming that old sawmill. The power that nature has is gigantic, you can not play with it....
I liked your post. I'll visit your website, I think I'll find some good pictures and stories. Greetings @scottdphoto :)

I've heard Vancouver is a lovely place to be. How's the expenses there for a tourist?
well the situation is horrible but you explain in a good manner, hope for the better, keep sharing like this post in future.
I like to travel like these places...it is an amazing experience.
nice one , thanks for sharing :)
I wonder how long it does take for nature to reclaim stuff like this? Greetings from Victoria,
I looked all photos at http://www.scottstevensonphotography.ca/ ! I like all images. Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoyed reading this piece. I noticed some shacks in the woods in Minnesota that have slowly disappeared over the years. I've never been to the Vancouver area (or islands), but it seems like it's incredibly remote outside the city perimeter.
A really cool picture, but also a little eerie. I like it.
wow love the place look so real ..nice picture
