COLLAPSE
Athena is the goddess of wisdom and knowledge who is level headed and mostly values justice for all. When it comes to war, Athena is very clever and meticulous with her tactics and vengeful nature. As opposed to beauty, sexuality, and lust she uses her wit and composed nature to win battles and wars. She can be both seen as good and bad, which can we severely affected by who she is with and what she is doing. Three words to describe would be authoritative, favoritism, and intelligent. She is authoritative because she is a goddess who command respect and authority from others. By her wit, even Zeus is inspired and respects her decision. We can see in Odyssey when she forced both fighting sides to agree and swear their loyalty to Odysseus. Athena’s favoritism can be seen evidently in Book 12 when she told Odysseus, “intelligent and self-possessed”. This is why she aids Odysseus him his Odyssey, she admires and sees the intelligence in Odysseus and as she endears, he also commends her. Their admiration shows true alliance. Finally, she is intelligent, where she is described from the modern piece By Jo Walton as a god who "... in libraries, either mortal libraries or Olympian ones." These are words from Apollo, where she analyzed and concluded to why Daphne became a tree before mating with Apollo. To me, Athena is more the perfect god, since she is cunning and well-read as opposed to just using force to get what she desires.
