Since last updating any social media thought I'd share what's been happening down in Australia
Interstate move from Sydney to Portarlington, Victoria
Drive took about 8 hours, stopping at a friends on the way overnight, in Wangaratta (near the border of Victoria and New South Wales). Mishie the kitten wasn't too happy with spending hours and hours in his carrier though.. took him about 4 hours of crying before he finally calmed down.
Once we got the keys to the new place and we had settled, we decided to go for a drive to Geelong, the nearest city to our new home.
And of course, by this point expecting a little girl, Erin couldn't hide the belly anymore..
After we had settled in to the new home in Port, we went for a drive further south, to Torquay, and checked out the world famous Bells Beach.
Checking out the town center (with an amazing pizza shop by the way) and the original grandstand is still there from 120 years ago,
We found out that after our first week living in Portarlington, a few neighbours started to show up in the back yard..
There are bunnies everywhere around here!
We got pretty used to having beaches and water around everywhere.
Ocean Grove, a half hour drive from home
From the lounge room, looking north west
Portarlington foreshore, a 5 minute drive (or 30 minute walk)
Panorama park, across the road from home (going for a quick walk)
We also found that approaching Winter here in Australia, it's been getting to 1 degree Celsius at night, and the mornings can be a little foggy..
But after our big move out of a major city and into an Australian country town, we're so glad to be out of town and somewhere that is so quaint, away from large angry crowds and power trippers. Now we have been so happy to have somewhere beautiful to raise our little girl. Which by the way, is due any day now!
Cheers, Stagg
