Hey guys, I decided to visit Salzburg. Salzburg is a city in Austria and you can reach this place easily by car or train. My plan was to walk around in the city, to explore new places and to make some nice pictures. I read the best time to visit Salzburg is in January, cause there are not that much tourists as usually. I would call Salzburg a very romantic city with its narrow streets, I even read it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

You will see many narrow streets in Salzburg

You can enter also many backyards with all kind of stores

In the picture are some things that immediately catch your eye

In the background you can see the fortress of Salzburg (Festung Hohensalzburg)
And there is a guy standing on a golden ball :O Which meaning does it have? Looks quite cool on a grey day like this!
I figured out that this is artwork that is called "Balkenhol-Mozartkugel". It consists of a gilded, two-ton ball with a diameter of five meters. At a height of nine meters, a 300-kilogram bronze male figure with black trousers and a white shirt stands on the ball. This artwork is the result of an initiative of the Salzburg Foundation. In this project, which receives no public subsidies, it is about to inspire international artists for the city of Salzburg, and to encourage them to create a specific piece of art for a place of their choice.

Hallo! Salzburg besuchen stand auf der To-Do Liste, ohne Probleme geht es von München mit dem Zug oder auch mit dam Auto ans Ziel. Der Plan war erstmal ein gemütlicher Spaziergang durch die Salzburger Altstadt, auf Entdeckungstour zu gehen und einige Bilder zu knipsen. Gelesen habe ich auf Trip Advisor, dass Januar der besuchsärmste Monat ist, die restliche Zeit ist die Stadt einfach nur überfüllt. Ich würde Salzburg als sehr romantisch beschreiben und ich meine gelesen zu haben, dass die Stadt zu den schönsten Städten in Europa gehört.

Am Geburtshaus von Wolfang Amadeus Mozart ging ich vorbei, der Eintritt war mir zu teuer :P

Auf diesem Bild springen uns gleich mehrere Auffälligkeiten ins Auge

Erstmal ist im Hintergrund die Festung Hohensalzburg zu sehen
Und eine männliche Figur ist auf einem goldenen Ball zu erkennen :O Welche Bedeutung hat das ganze wohl? Hat schon was, besonders an diesem grauen Tag! Ich fand heraus, dass diese Skulptur ein Kunstwerk ist. Das Kunstwerk ist als "Balkenhof - Mozartkugel" bekannt, die Kugel ist vergoldet, zwei Tonnen schwer und hat ein Durchmesser von fünf Meter. Die Figur selber ist 300 Kilogramm schwer und steht auf einer Höhe von etwa 900 Meter. Das Kunstwerk ist eine Foundation, das Projekt erhält keine öffentlichen Subventionen, Ziel ist es Künstler aus aller Welt für Salzburg zu begeistern und diese dazu zu motivieren ein Kunstwerk zu kreieren, sogar mit freier Platzwahl.
