I now live in a world that i am constantly concerned that my bank may just freeze/delete or decline my payments, trying to move my own money out of Santander into crypto to ease my concerns involved them repeatly freezing my account and lengthy phone calls where I had to agree the crypto company was genuine and they held no liability should there be any issues. The less money i can keep in the banks the better from now on.

The real problem is that we don't have an alternative to use, still. If we would have crypto based DeFi systems running on an OS which is also based on Linux using a very good and user friendly UI on our smart phones we wouldn't have any or at least 99.95% less change of being held hostage by these psychopathic technocrats. Technology isn't the disease or problem. Tech can be use for the good but easily for the bad as well. And this needs to be coordinate to have an alternative. As long as we don't setup our own systems we have to use their systems.
