I agree with most points, but I have some constructive criticism I hope you don't mind.
Working as a pilot, it's well paid once you get to the majors, or first officer, or something like that. But no one should get into it for the money. Get into aviation because of your passion to fly, but not for the money Granted, a first office or captain will make decent money (specially the capt at 6 figures.) but you will have to wait some years. It's not easy to get into aviation. Too many regs, too many required hours, and then the mighty cost to get there for an initial low ROI.
A student making minimum wages wouldn't be able to afford training unless he/she lives with their parents.
I always tell enthusiasts to aviation to get started in sailplanes. It will get you into aviation at a far cheaper rate, but at least get you started in something.
That's my goal once I finish my training. I just want to get paid to fly - so that I can afford to fly! For a pilot in love with the sky, that's all that matters.
