Avorion is an Early Access space sandbox available on steam currently road mapped to be complete by Q3 2018.
This review is based on version 0.12.7
Avorion encourages you to build your own ship utilizing a tiered material system. From weakest to strongest; Iron, Titanium, Naonite, Trinium, Xanion, Ogonite and finally the games namesake, Avorion.
The game generates a galaxy of 1000x1000 sectors each one being procedurally generated. Exploration is encouraged and rewarded with random encounters , finding new NPC factions and rare resources to name a few.
There are many ways of generating income in Avorion my personal favourite is attaching a salvaging laser to a combat ship and using materials from wreckages post fight.
I currently have 32 hours in game and have enjoyed it immensely. Avorion is currently available on steam for |£13.59 .
