Axie Infinity v1.1.1 update prevents players with low MMR from getting SLP revenue

My point of view

Sky Mavis released the new Axie Infinity update 1.1.1, which introduced many regulatory features, causing the value of SLP and AXS to decrease on October 15, 2021 (the day the update was announced).

The new update was announced on Discord and later shared on Twitter. This update will prevent players with MMR 800 and below from gaining SLP in any game mode. It also prevents them from gaining SLP through Adventure.

This prevents players from misusing the MMR system to easily win the arena. Our goal is to keep the arena competitive as much as possible, to let people play the arena for the game, not for rewards. The new system is also intended to retain SLP rewards only for those who compete wholeheartedly.

Another change in the Axie Infinity 1.1.1 update resets the Axie level when Axie changes owners. This prevents the player from changing axes to generate and then returning to the axis without synchronizing the axis on the infinite axis. This makes collaborative creation more difficult.

While the goal of these changes is to maintain the long-term sustainability of Axie Infinity, the Axie Infinity 1.1.1 update still disappoints many supporters, which is reflected in the depression experienced by SLP and AXS after the update.

Version 1.1.0a Patch Notes

1 Axies will reset to level one whenever they change ownership. This was the change I mentioned last week that was to come.

2 Challenges are back, where you can now challenge a coach from your friends list to a friendly duel.

3 Accounts with less than 800 MMR will no longer receive Adventure, Arena or Daily Quest SLP

4 Meanwhile, the match history will not be saved on our servers and can only be accessed from the client device with which you played the match.

5 Small update to Ronin Block Explorer to see how some addresses are displayed.

Changes and improvements in the new update
Axie leaning on the competitive side

The game's developers have stated that the goal of this update is to get rid of bots, as they take away SLP and reduce its value to real hard-working players.

They also want to encourage players to learn to become a more competitive player in the arena and for scholarships to focus more on teaching and education.

More balance will be done in the future.
This change will be very healthy in the long run for the game and also stated that we also need features like crafting, burn and dex to balance the economy.

More rewards for highly skilled players

While game developers understand that this can be stressful for some players who have weaker teams or are elderly/disabled, they reiterated that Axie is a game that needs to reward those who are better with higher skill levels.
