I stopped writing poetry 15 years ago, but recently I started to get into altered states thanks to music so I can express myself a little better. I have become a pretty cynical lady during all these years therefore I find most of my attempts quite cheesy. On the other hand the idealistic side of me looms strong, so I somehow find it hard to discard these thoughts. Excuse my bad English, I am not a native speaker. So here I go:
"sweet soft, bold low
whisper deep and blow
a song of sorrow in the flute
you heard I'm on a chute
you're wrong, I'm strong,
sweet low, bow slow
I'm on a new low
the lowest of the lowest of the lowest low
can't elsewhere fall slow
I'm steady and ready to go
up to roll the dice on 6-6
it always seems to fall on the edge
can't tell the score
a breeze blows
turns 6s or 2s? no-one knows...
you wink I sink
love sorrow
I wanna marrow
inside your bones
my tongue is on thorns
imagination on overdrive
closure and strike...
no show though, just a dead mike...
love got lost, someone announce it in the newspaper!
a while later mourning in absence
too much drama written on a napkin stained with alcohol
love slow or die fast
how could it otherwise last?
I mean, you sin
love snake hidden in the closet
don't pray, won't follow you
just slowly smother you
won't you rid yourself of all this prejudice, won't you lighten up...
what's up?
