Oops.
Well I went to bakery hot springs and it was an excellent trip other than the fact that it rained a lot a lot a lot. So I spent a lot of time napping until last night. And then me and puppy dog hiked up to the hot springs and oh boy that probably wasn't the smartest idea after playing with the fire and really getting stiff.
Well it was pretty good and they do have somebody staying up there full time and apparently living in this little shed.
The main bath house is still absolutely destroyed and closed down along with the walkway. Which means that the second pass bath house is accessed only with a extremely horrible crossing through a mud pit. And mud stairs.
Apparently the new management put in new bathrooms making a total of six bathrooms out there... Why? Are these people incapable of going to the bathroom if they are farther than a hundred yards apart?
Seriously nothing has been done other than a little bit of plumbing. It absolutely is a complete and total shame.
So it looks like the current people who are collecting all the money are just screwing it all off. Nice signs nice logos nice little map... Super expensive bathrooms!
And everything else they've just let all go to crap. Seriously it's been about 5 years now that the primary bath houses were taped off and closed down.
Of course the main historic buildings are still trashed. Yeah that happened around 5 years ago and nothing has been done.
A couple of dollars of plastic fittings. A massive amount of money being spent for a super oversized garbage can. A massive amount of money being spent on unneeded useless toilets...
I am absolutely heartbroken to see that this group just squandered all of the funds that we're supposed to be going to save this amazing cultural landmark.
Ah geez. Money... What a concept.
What a screw up. Makes me really sad that these idiots won. I was part of the campaign to get control of it back to the people. Instead somebody outbid and the conservation collective. And then decided to screw it all up.
That's the ghastly aspect of money.
Personal choices. Sad.
When We no longer need money and all are living as richly as We choose, such ghastly things will not emerge.
