Baguio, or what we all call the City of Pines, is located in Luzon, Philippines. Because of its cooler weather, that could reach even negative zero degree, it became the popular destination for vacation during Summer. One of the famous places that you can see here are Burnham Park, The Mansion, Baguio Cathedral and Session Road.
I haven' been to Baguio ever since I was young. My mother even hardly remember when I got a chance to went there when I was still a kid. Since this is one of my dream scape, or scape place (my only term for a sanctuary), me and my friends went there, year 2016. It was not planned. Just for a night we told each other we want to go to Baguio and on the next day, we were on a bus going there.
It was a long ride. The kid inside me never stop giggling whenever the bus driver says we are one-hour drive near to Baguio. Oh my gash!!
I never thought I kept a lot of pictures but I don't remember the sequence of it. I will try to remember one by one by looking at the picture.
I think this is my first photo. I saw this flower when we went out the bus. It is a picture of a flower, with my favorite color covering it. It seems that this flower is greeting every passenger as they went out of the bus.
This is my second pic, another flower, near the mini hotel we were staying. Actually there were lots of beautiful flowers I saw in Baguio and I would love to share it all to you.
This is one of the scenery we have, below the mini hotel we were staying.
This is the Adoration Convent of the Divine Mercy.
It is located in the Brent Road owned by the Pink Sister. Maybe that is the reason why the church is painted in Pink. This is near Casa Vallejo Restaurant.
This Adoration Convent is our first trip before going everywhere in Baguio. We talk to God and ask him to guide us for our safe journey in Baguio.
I don't remember the name of the place above, but this was our way before we go to the Mansion.
This is the Mansion. This is known as the official summer vacation place of the Philippine President.
When we got tired, we dined in at the Sizzling Plate at the Session Road and ordered the sumptuous foods above.
After we had a great bonding inside the Sizzling Plate, when we went out the resto it was already dark. We just walked around the very famous Session Road instead.
On our second day, we went to Tam-awan Village.
Tam-awan Village is a cafe and restaurant that exhibits Art and Culture of Baguio.
This is the side view of Bell House.
The Bell House is located in Camp John Hay. It was named after the Major General Franklin Bell.
We had a full breakfast at the restaurant near it. I can't recall the name so I will just post the foods that we tried.
I have lots of photos to share but then I can't have it all in one post. Let me just share that visiting Baguio is one of the great memories I had because of the place and the people I have with. I was with my friends and these friends are my strongest walls. During the time of our visit in Baguio, we all have deeper burden in our chest and I have to say that it is true to unwind first and recollect yourself before you come strong again. Life is a uphill battle, that is why you need something that will help you to stay strong or at least, do something that will make you happy.
Baguio trip is the best. Ilocos Trip is next.
