Should You Hire a Bail Bondsman?

Should you hire a bail bondsman? This could be a difficult decision. If you are facing a choice between hiring a bail bondsman or hiring a lawyer, let me explain why I think you should hire the lawyer, instead of the bail bondsman, if you can't afford to hire both.

First of all, an attorney may be able to get your loved one out of jail without any bond at all. Normally, you are entitled to a review of release conditions. A lawyer may be able to get the release conditions changed so there is no bond at all or if that's not possible, maybe they can get the bond lowered. Getting the client out of jail is the first duty of the attorney in any criminal case. But then what?

You have to be able to deal with the criminal case after. Just getting your loved one out of jail without an attorney could mean your loved one could go right back to jail. By hiring an attorney instead, the attorney can begin working on the case right away. Getting out of jail is only the first step, staying out of jail is the goal. This is why it just makes sense to hire the attorney if you are left with deciding between the attorney or the bail bondsman.

only a bondsman can get you out of jail. An attorney only works in court.
We @ House of Bail Bonds are very flexible. Attorney discount, Payment plans. I will follow, too bad I couldnt upvote when it counted..I am a bail agent.

Hello edreno, I was not saying anything bad about Bail bondsman. I work with bail bondsmen all of the time. But if someone can only afford one or the other, in a lot of cases I have been able to have bond conditions changed where there is no bond at all. So, in those cases the person was able to get out without a bondsman.
