What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear dessert?
For us it is that there is always room for it no matter how full we are from dinner or lunch!
Dessert can come as candy, cookies, cake or pastry. All of it is yummy and who cares about the calories?
Sometimes you just need to splurge! Especially on a tasty piece of cake after dinner. You just can't turn that one down! Below are three amazing tasty mouth watering cake recipes that we know you will love.
The first one is the Wacky Marbled Spice Cake. Mmm mmm. You just cannot go wrong with this one! Here are the ingredients.:
● 1 and ½ tsp baking powder
● 6 tbs softened butte
● 3 tbs non-fat milk
● 1 and 1/8 cups confectioners' sifted sugar
● ¼ cup sugar
● ½ tsp ground ginger
● ¼ cup Splenda
● 3 tbs molasses
● 2 eggs lightly beaten
● 1 tsp ground cinnamon
● 7/8 cup all-purpose flour
● a few drops of vanilla extract
The first thing to do is to preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and then grease the and flour an 8 inch cake pan. The next step is to cream the butter, sugar, and Splenda, and then beat in the vanilla and eggs After that, sift the flour and baking powder together and fold into the mixture alternating with milk until combined. Spoon 1/3 of the mixture into a bowl, and stir in the molasses, cinnamon and ginger. Then drop alternating spoonfuls of dark and light mixtures into the pan. Run a knife through them to get the cake marbled.
Then you can finally bake for 50 minutes. When it is done, leave in pan for 10 minutes before turning onto a wire rack for it to cool down. The next step is to stir enough warm water in the confectioners' sugar to make a smooth icing. Spoon quickly over the cake. Allow to set. Yum yum enjoy!
The next recipe is an easy and tasty Strawberry Cake Recipe.
In fact this one is so quick it will only take about 30-40 minutes of your time. Here are the ingredients that you will need.:
● Strawberry-flavoured instant gelatine, 3 oz.
● White cake dry mix, 1 package (18.25 oz.)
● Pureed fresh or frozen strawberries, 10 oz.
● Vegetable oil or corn oil, 1/2 cup
● Large eggs, 4 pieces
● Water, 1/4 cup
● Sliced or whole fresh strawberries for garnishing
Be sure to prepare the oven by preheating it to 350 degrees. The next step is to use butter to grease the two round cake pans. Then you set aside and proceed to making the batter. Take out a medium sized bowl, combine the gelatine and the cake mix and pour it in. Blend well before adding in the pureed strawberries, oil, water and eggs. Be sure to use an electric mixer to whisk the ingredients thoroughly. Set the mixer to a medium setting.
As soon as the mixture is already smooth in texture, pour it into the two prepared baking pans. Bake the mixture for 20 to 30 minutes, inside the preheated oven. You may also use a wooden toothpick to check if the cake has the right consistency. Next, let the cake cool inside the oven for 10 minutes. Transfer it on a wire rack to cool down.
The last thing to do is to put whipped topping on the cake. Then, use the sliced or whole strawberries to decorate the top portion of the cake. You can arrange the strawberries in a circular manner or spell out a word or whatever strikes your fancy.
The last cake recipe we will share is a divine Chocolate Cake.
Here are the ingredients.:
● 2 cups sugar
● 3/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa
● 2 eggs
● 1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
● 1/2 cup vegetable oil
● 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
● 1 cup boiling water
● 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
● 1 tsp. salt
● 1 cup milk
● 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Firstly you must grease up and flour at least two 9 inch round shaped baking pans. Then you combine all the dry ingredients together which are the sugar, cocoa, flour, baking soda and salt in a large container. Afterwards combine all the wet ingredients together which are the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract. Beat them together on a mixer at medium speed for at least 2 minutes. Be sure to add boiling water into the mix. You will have a thin batter texture, and then pour the whole thing into the baking pans that are already prepared in advance.
After, place it in the oven for half an hour or more. Then insert a toothpick and take it out to see if it is clean. That is how you know it is ready. You must wait for 10 minutes and then take it out of the oven. When it is completely cool you can start applying the frosting.
Below are the ingredients for the divine frosting. :
● 1/2 cup or 1 sticks butter or margarine
● 3 cups powdered sugar
● 2/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
● 1/3 cup milk
● 1 tsp. vanilla extract
The only thing you need to do is melt the butter or the margarine. Then mix in the cocoa and add the powder sugar and milk into the mix. If necessary add extra milk. Then finally add in the vanilla extract. There you go, your frosting is made. It should be enough to cover the whole thing. It should be at least 10 to 12 servings.
