Welcome back ! If you haven't read the first Episode with the title 'BAB: Bangalore Apartment Buyers Guide - Preface', please do read it before reading the following. It will help to give a good idea which direction we are going in this episode.
Different people, different questions. For example, those who want to buy an apartment or house to stay, their questions are around convenience to stay, facilities for shopping, school and all the ones mentioned in the previous post. Those who want to buy for appreciation really don't bother about these, they want to buy-hold-sell. Those who want to rent out, in all honesty, will bother a little bit about convenience, their primary motive would be to get sufficient return to cover their finance on the house.
Lets take a look at the map once more (if you have seen it in the previous post).
As you can see, Bangalore North is Yeshwanthpur, Devanahalli, Doddaballapur, Nelamangala. And Bangalore South is central Bangalore, Ramnagara, Bidadi, Varturu, Kengeri, Electronics City, Krishnarajapuram (KR Puram) and Hosakote. There is also something below Bangalore South, which is Anekal, Kanakapura, Bannerughatta and Sarjapura.
We only touched the tip of the ice berg - so to speak. There are a vast number of areas around these main areas. Those are lucky, who have a love for any one place - you see, they don't have to look any further, they just decide purely based on their heart to live in a place. Lots of places in central Bangalore, such as, MG Road, Shanthi Nagar, Basavanagudi, Banashankari, JP Nagar, Jayanagar and BTM fall in this category.
For others, one of the reasons to decide could be being closer to a happening spot such as Indra Nagar, Old Airport Road or HSR. For most with families, it could be being closer to a school or having access to school with pickup by school bus. For many others, it could be being closer to where office is. These choices drive people to choose places like KR Puram and surroundings such as Marathahalli, Outer Ring Road or places around Electronics city, Sarjapur road or Hosur road.
As you can see, there are lots and lots of choices. Where do we go from here? Lets see in the next Episode, stay tuned.
