Hello Hive! It's been more than 3 weeks since my last post here. I had been very busy on the farm tending to our rice and chili crops. We got good deals on our chilis because of their high price in the market. Our rice crop is looking great now, and we are expecting harvest by the middle of this month.
But for today's post, I'm going to show my newest items in my collections. This time, it's a currency bill. I had posted some cool coins here, and now here are some Philippine banknotes first issued in 1985 and demonetized in 2017.
New Design Series
The New Design Series, first issued in 1985 by the Philippine Central Bank, consists of banknotes in denominations of 5 pesos, 10 pesos, 20 pesos, 50 pesos, 100 pesos, 500 pesos, and 1000 pesos. These featured known people in Philippine history on the obverse and some important buildings, scenes, and events on the reverse side.
I already had a set of this banknote series, but all were circulated bills. This time, I got everything uncirculated except for the 200 peso bill. The bills are crisp and look and feel really new. The plan now is to get the missing uncirculated 200 peso bill so that I can complete this one, which will be put in a frame soon.
