As we are now in the age of AI, many jobs currently done by people will increasingly be completed by robots. Therefore the need for a universal guranteed income is more necessary than ever. Infact I recently heard Elon Musk say at a conference that a universal basic income has to be considered.
Thank you for your most informative post. I have become firmly convinced that we need some system of guaranteed individual income, or our system of capitalism will collapse. Capitalism is superb at creating wealth, but distribution has always been a problem. Now, people don't have the savings or income to make new investments or buy new products. This is not a recipe for long term stability.
Anyway, thank you for the fresh take on Martin Luther King, and for keeping us all informed. Keep up the good work!
