Over the weekend, my wife and I were traveling out of town. We stopped to get gas at a service station. After filling up the tank, I put the key in the ignition and the car didn't start.
I could not believe it.
We recently purchased a American Automobile Association membership, therefore we called roadside assistance. The mechanic determined we had a dead battery. I asked him, "Where can I get a battery at this time of the night?". He pointed at his truck. He told me that AAA sells batteries. I was shocked, I did not know that.
We purchased a battery and it cost us $145. The cost is much lower than what local auto parts retailer would charge. I know because I bought a new battery for my car last month from Advanced Auto and it cost me more than $225.
Soon after installation, we were on our way.
Don't over pay for car batteries. Call AAA today! BTW, you don't have to have car troubles to purchase a battery. They will come to your home or workplace to perform the battery installation.
Thanks,
Isn't it odd that your old battery only lasted a month? I had left my car sit without being used and it wouldn't start either but it wasn't a month old.
