Battles!: The Origin. (Rough Script)

The puppet you see here is named Battles!
He was created by a street wizard named Zenaris

One day, Zenaris went to a local pub that had a monhly meeting of comic book enthusiasts. A local comic shop had sponsored the event with drinks and sandwiches supplied by the Delicatessen next door.

While there he offered to sell Battles to an unemployed man named John Dole for $10 because
he needed beer money.

Battles is sentient and animated by Zenaris’s magic. He was furious at being sold for only $10, but he chose to bid his time until John was drunk enough for him to make his escape and get his revenge on Zenaris.

Battles pretended to be a lifeless puppet for the time being. John put Battles into his backpack to take home after the meeting.

John and Zenaris discussed comics and comic related movies with the four other people at the meeting before going their own way a few hours later.

Zenaris wnet home to feed his Zombie teapot brain flavoured teabags and John was incredibly drunk and decidedto catch an Uber home.

While at his house, John took Battles out of the backpack and placed him on his ironing board so he could get a closer look at his purchase.

It was then that Battles revealed that he was sentient and animated by starting to talk.
“Where am I?” demanded Battles to a now very drunk and confused John.

John thought he was hallucinating, but told Battles that he was at his home and that he belonged to him now while he was still in shock. John decided to go to bed to sleep off the alcohol and walked off.

Battles took the opportunity to jump down from the ironing board and take John’s credit card and use his mobile phone to order and Uber.
