Cryptocurrency in the Bay Area, California. Silicon Valley's future currency.

in #bayarea7 years ago (edited)

STEEM fam, I live in Santa Clara Cali, right next to Levi's stadium and when people say Silicon Valley is the front runner for tech like Milan or Paris is for fashion they are not lying. I am hearing MASSIVE buzz from people I know aren't even in the crypto game but work for Amazon, Groupon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, etc that crypto is making its way in and quickly.

I own 10 gyms, we have 1000's of clients and clearly since I'm in the bay area most of our clients are working for these companies.

Even a few of the clients that I know work for groupon have said that they are going to accept or may be even accepting already by now bitcoin at the cafeteria and through other delivery services that do their lunches.

This is great news to hear because everyone who is reading this is ahead of the game obviously. There is big things to come still, even though its already been going crazy in the market.

Hearing about all of this direct from the mouthes of clients is nuts, because we can read all day about news, articles, blogs, vlogs, etc. But real interaction with people with no knowledge of the crypto world talking about it is crazy.

Even a corporate account we run at Oracle in Redwood Shores was talking a lot about how they are talking about crypto currencies for their programs and fully integrating it in their infrastructure. Hell, it might be all bullshit, but I don't think so many people can talk about the same thing so often without there being some truth.

Obviously silicon valley doesn't control everything but with what is housed here business wise, I think its a damn good example of what is to come. Where time is money is the ultimate rule out here, crypto would save time and money for businesses and people out here and its becoming more prevalent everyday.

this is great news. soon everyone will want to buy and use cryptocurrencies. Do you accept crypto at your gyms?

Not yet, but eventually our payment systems will have the options i guarantee it.
