My little BBQ project... with smoke hut!

in #bbq7 years ago

Yep..... this was the first one, the next one shall be back home in OZ and hopefully it shall be better than this one.

Note the door to the left is to the smoke hut, excellent thing to have in the yard!

I'll let the photo's speak for themselves!

Love the smoker!

this is amazing. I want one. Too bad our local government does not allow us to have a fire or fire pit, nothing like that in our yards. Thanks for sharing

Chuck front doors on the BBQ area and it becomes an "enclosed" BBQ!
That would be my solution to that stupid local law!

That is a brilliant idea. Thank you so much, never thought about that. My BBQ is your typical BBQ with metal and wheels and a lid.

Check out the comment thread above with @wakeupsheeps , I have posted a link to a picture of a outdoor kitchen idea that I plan on building to the left of the smokehut when I build one of these again one day.

OK thanks

You did well on this attempt.

That's one hell of a set-up. You can feed so many people with this yard design and grill-smoker shed. Every man needs to have this arrangement. Interesting contrast with the brick 'shed' and roman columns.

Mate, this is what I am going to build to the left of the smoke hut when I build us one in our new backyard back home in Australia one day.

As soon as I sell this house off I will be joining up with my family and building a new home for us....

Check it out

So basically I shall have a full setup in the backyard and it shall all be in a nice little complex that can work for every get together or just chilling out and doing the late lunch for the family gig!

learn from my mistakes mate... and I have been learning from others over the years!

Check out the thread below with @mitchyb where I have mentioned some tech specs, which are conclusions that I have come to after learning from this one.

Beautiful piece of work. You gonna have scrumptious meals . Got my vote.

cool I have always wanted to set up something like this.

When doing so, make the BBQ area wider, so that it can hold more than just a lamb.

Not that you may need the extra space, but because of the heat distribution and less worries when BBQing on a spit roast.

Likewise, go deeper in with the fire pit area, lets say up to 1.5 even 1.8 m (about 6 foot), that way you can set it up to roast anything, from a leg of beef to lamb good old stew hanging from the top (on a chain)

For the stew pot chain, just chuck a piece of 22 or 24 mm (1 inch) thick reinforcing steel bar in the middle of the chimney.

Simple as that.

These are the lessons I've learned from this one.

Wow! Don't think it would be used much in the UK with our weather - but I sure would damn try! Yum

Sweet outdoor area mate! Love it

cool, we croatians are awsome ;)

I love the bbq in the garden.
Nice work.
Thanks for follow me ill do the same

When I win the lottery, now I know what to do with some of the filthy lucre.
