Dhaka University’s Sufia Kamal Hall BCL unit President Iffat Jahan Isha was reinstated to her post today three days after she was expelled from the front organisation of the ruling Awami League (AL).
The decision of her reinstatement was announced this morning as no evidence was found on the allegation brought against Iffat, said a press release signed by BCL president and general secretary.
“The probe body finds Iffat innocent,” reads the press release.Iffat was expelled by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) early Wednesday as she allegedly tortured two students of the DU hall on Tuesday.
The DU authority suspended Iffat from the university immediately after the news of torturing the two female students spread. The incident sparked a protest among the Sufia Kamal students on Tuesday night.
BCL & DU Administration just present a drama to the nation especially, the general student demand was undoubtedly legal. The people who don't believe in freedom of our country try to create noisily situation.
