Be Amused, Be Mused Or Be A Muse.

The unbelievable range and scope of talent available within the steemit community is a wonderful thing and we have among our ranks some of the most talented men and women across all manner of different skill-sets who are willing to provide each other with hours upon hours of entertainment each day by way of our artwork, our story telling, our film making, photography, travel or food blogs, film or game reviews or in any number of different ways, depending upon where your interests lay and how you get your kicks.

There's so much talent here already and so much more joining all the time with the introduction of lots of new apps on the steem blockchain using the steemit platform such as D-Tube, DLive and D-Mania to name a few as well as popular members of other video hosting platforms switching to steemit, that pretty soon our little platform will be the place to go to be amused.

But not only is it the place to go to be amused, at least for us just now, it's also a place where you can 'be mused'.

From my own experience, I've found myself on many occasions reading a post and feeling inspired to want to do more, whether that be in life, on steemit or in a multitude of other ways. I've also come across a few members of the community who struggle with ideas for what to post and the advice I would give them is, if you want to find something to post about, take a little time to look around and read a few posts that catch your interest. It won't be long before you find yourself being inspired to create something original of your own or sharing your thoughts and opinions.

And not only can you be amused or 'be mused', you can also be a muse yourself.

I've held a few contests, competitions and challenges on steemit and on more than one occasion have been thanked by someone taking part for giving them the inspiration to create a post or to try something new or different. Whether it be drawing, writing or whatever else, I'm really pleased that I've been able to inspire others in a small way and this is another thing that I think is so special about the community here, the fact that we are all able to inspire one another to bigger and better things. It's something that I don't think we consider often enough or make use of to the extent that we could.

I spoke about the abundance of talent we have on the platform in so many areas and while I maintain this is so, I also have to admit that much of the content that we find on the trending pages is from the same people and for the most part covers only a few areas of interest. This may well be the content that most of the community want to see. I really don't know about that but what I do know is that if there's something you would like to see or see more of, then you're free to ask for it.

I wanted to see more art on the platform and help others learn how to draw, so I created my own contest called 'Learn To Draw With Friends' and found that there were others out there interested in learning to draw and improving their skills. My contest inspired them to make posts of their artwork and the process behind creating it and also provided me with more artwork that I wanted to look at.

In this case, I was the muse, the contestants were 'mused' and there were plenty of others who were amused and entertained by the artworks and posts that were produced.

But you don't have to hold a contest in order to inspire others. If you want something, all you have to do is ask.

As I mentioned before, there are many within the community who would like to find the inspiration to post about something but aren't sure or for whatever reason don't feel confident. Maybe all they need is the inspiration that you provide by saying...

'I'd like to see......(fill in the blank).'

Be Amused, Be Mused And Be A Muse.

Have a great day! :)

You're awesome. :)

Hey @yakuhi. Thanks a lot mate. I haven't seen many posts from you lately. It's good to know you're still about. Hope all is going well, my friend.

Have a great day mate. :)

Yep, I'm around. It's been difficult to do much posting lately but I still browse through every now and then. Glad to see you're still at it!

Great post! Like you said, it’s all about finding things that you’re interested in and diving into it!

Cheers @thickman34. Hope you're day is going well mate.

Some of the best artists here that I love are @gristleneck, @elohprojects and @allowisticartist - the latter two enjoy revealing their process and are wonderful educators. Gristleneck is also a poet and musician - you should take a look if/when you can.

@ricia Thank you for the mention... I am glad you enjoy my artistic process :) your support really means the world to me :)
