About Future Mouth
Shazet Sounds Presents, "Future Mouth", Malaysia's First Beatbox Album Ever in History. This album was produced and recorded without exception using only vocals and beatbox.

After I became the National Beatbox Champion in my home country and overseas in various competitions, I started to produce this album since 2011, it was under a named, "Flow & Styles", I had 8 tracks at that time using Korg Kaosspad 3, I released it under a name, "FNS Raw EP", then later I removed it. The sounds sounded so raw and it was unmixed neither mastered.

Somewhat in 2012, I wanted to produce a conceptual beatbox EP about cyberpunk, robots, technology, alien and so on, I named it Future Mouth EP which contains 4 tracks, it is very futuristic sounding using beatbox. Again, I wanted to release it but my mixing and mastering skills wasn't up to my standard at that time. I produced more tracks over hundreds of tracks, also in the meantime, I managed to learn new sounds and adapt new skills and patterns in new generation of beatboxing.

So I moved on, later in the same year 2012, I started to produce more non-beatbox sound design and non-beatbox instrumentals, under alias of, "Xzet Sicknal". From there I studied and understood about sound designing, balancing, leveling, recording and compression. While adapting to different environment of sounds, I applied the same techniques when I did beatbox recordings. I tried different loop machines, mixers, microphones, cassette tape recorder and DAWs. While doing so, I recorded ideas, sketched and save it in my archive.

Beatboxing tracks are really hard to mix because according to my standard I wanted myself to be very upfront similar to a drummer or a turntablist but still human. I did trial and error, I recorded and performed live with my beatbox set-up. It took me quite sometimes to master the sound mixing techniques. Compare to a drummer, sound technician will mic'd up the drum kit with various microphones sometimes over 20+ mics for a drum kit. As a beatboxer I only have one mouth, one source of sound coming out from it and one microphone. With long study and experiments, in 2014, I finally obtained the standard that I need to perform live and recordings.

Once I had that sound, I began to rerecord all my ideas and sketches and turn it into masterpiece. However, I ended up choosing the best 11 tracks to represent this album. I made this album by following the concept of Future Mouth EP, I removed the "EP" and I continued to make it futuristic-cyberpunk-yet-human. I wanted this album to sound dark, aggressive, in-your-face, dirty, yet-hopeful and uplifting. I also to refered to some acapella and nasheed groups but usually acapella groups are very cheerful and happy. I wanted it to be dark. What usually inspired me are dark-epic-orchestra music, often they had choir singing in darkest tones. So I stepped my game as a beatboxer, I made myself similar as a producer or a DJ in the music industry. I wanted to produce this album that no one ever produce like it before, in term of sounds and energy. I also wanted to shine that beatboxers are no longer gimmicks or side characters, I want beatboxers to be the main characters, I treated beatboxers in this album as EDM producers collaborating with another EDM producers or big artists. I have lots of inspirations from underground hip-hop to metal to epic orchestra to neurofunk to grime. Sometimes even from films' sound design to keep me going.

Originally I intended to release an EP before releasing this album under the same name. But, it took too much time and work, why? Because from now on I want every time I release a product, it must be the best one I ever produced from artworks to sounds to concepts.

I have to face many struggles to produce this album, from travelling, move in and out, depression, sickness, misunderstood, costing, skills, time and choosing the best tracks. Alhamdulillah, Allah gave me strength, capacity, talents, ideas and mental health to complete this. The main thing I could smile. In some tracks in this album, you may hear me feeling sad, angry and depressed. I poured my heart and soul into this album. I made this album as a present of myself, because 28th September is my birthday, one of the main reason I wanted to release it on this date.

I really hope you as my listener, do purchase this album as to support me and my career. Do share it with your family and friends. It worth the experience and the journey. Do understand each track, the best is to listen track-by-track from 1 till 11. Do listen with loudspeaker, good hi-fi sound system and headphones with sub support. Last and not least do record yourself listening to this, I want to see your reactions!

Enjoy your stay and thank you, xoxo!
