The current culture seems to tell us, if we are beautiful, we will be loved We will be happy, But is this really so? The ideal of beauty changes within a culture and an age. The one in which we live right now has a crazy unrealistic version of the ideal. It seeps into our psyche early when there is no defense. The current ideal, would be considered fragile, sickly in another time and place. Women were meant to have curves, power and vitality. If you are healthy, nature says that is everything. But what does the heart say, Your heart? Can you dance? Enjoy life? What more can you ask of your physical form, the temple of your soul? Only that which nourishes such a temple should be allowed inside. Please don't let the sick self belittling criticism of this culture poison your existence, your self acceptance. A good relationship with your body is the foundation of well being. You are unique and incomparable. Physical equivalence with the cultural ideal, would only make you suspect secretly, that your looks were your only value, the only reason you were loved.......and you WOULD in fact be targeted for exploitation. You are FAR more than that. You offer the world so much more than that. It is for those OTHER things you will be most loved. Your humor, creativity, kindness, courage, and passion. There is beauty within you. Express it and people who matter, will see.
