Yes. Also, most lipsticks use carmine. They don't always call it carmine, it has about 12 different names, if not more by now. I'm allergic to it, and it's gross, beetle blood. I had a specific make-up do on my face the other day for a series of videos I filmed and I put red on my face. I had a carmine allergic reaction. I need to replace all my red stuff. Every time I run out of something (and I don't wear make-up often, some occasions, videos mostly, never in my daily life or not even to go shopping or out with friends), I try to replace it with the equivalent from a company that uses natural products, no carmine, no chemicals. I switched to natural shampoo, my hair is loving it. I have yet to find good make-up remover for my sensitive skin that has no lactic acid in it (allergic to that too) and everything else, you know. Green Beaver has good face wash, one of them without lactic acid. Their shampoos are all right. They provide a nice list on their website of ingredients to avoid.
I always go by, super long list of ingredients = chemicals. Shorter list of ingredients = more natural. And then I check them one by one to be sure.
