The transport system of the future Hyperloop became one step closer to reality. The Hyperloop Transportation Technologies company has signed the agreement with the government of Slovakia of rather possible construction of the Hyperloop system connecting three European countries.

The new transport Hyperloop system will connect the capitals of three countries. It is planned to lay routes between Vienna (Austria) and Bratislava (Slovakia), and also between Bratislava and Budapest (Hungary). Distances between these cities not such and big. So, from Vienna to Bratislava only about 35 miles on a straight line (about 56 km) or 50 miles (about 80 km) along the existing transport routes. Between Bratislava and Budapest the distance on a straight line makes 100 miles (about 161 km), and along the existing routes – 125 miles (about 201 km).

It is supposed that passengers will be able to travel by means of Hyperloop between Vienna and Bratislava in only 8 minutes. At the same time more extended trip from Bratislava to Budapest (or on the contrary) will take 10 minutes. In Hyperloop Transportation Technologies also plan to connect with the capital the second-large city in Slovakia – Kozitsa. The distance between these cities makes 248 miles (about 399 km).

However it should be noted that all read plans meanwhile should be considered only as opportunities. Agreement signature meanwhile does not provide actual has begun constructions, and only an assessment of viability of each of routes. After an assessment specific proposals which, perhaps, will be financed will be made.

Meanwhile in plans of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies construction of the test Hyperloop highway 5 miles long (about 8 km) appears. It will be constructed in California, the USA. This highway is planned to be brought into operation in 2018.
