Change of times

in #beauty7 months ago

Yesterday I went out to a country fair of sorts due to it being the Labour Day and I noticed something.

Back in the past, at our age (20-30) people were already engaged, most were married with a family.

Nowadays, times are more diluted.

Couples that tend to create a family, do it while they are in their 30s-40s.

This situation is the 'daughter' of the modern times:

• More expensive life
• Less financial stability
• Short-term mindset (most prefer to switch to a new partner instead of trying to fix issues)

It's really true that times evolve and change. But for the better.. or for the worse?

27 years old (or young) and still going strong in my single life endeavours! :D

Gorgeous!!! 👍

You're still in that range, so it's not as much of a concern. Even so, your observation about couples and families in more recent times is correct.

There's never a good time to settle down to begin a family because we will never have perfect or ideal conditions. That means that the time to start a family is always now. For people who don't find themselves ready mentally to settle down-- very understandable given how the last 30 years have been-- they need to keep in mind their own physical and biological realities. Cost-benefit analysis is important, and in this case money is just one of many factors.

Even for those who end up with families "by accident," in the long run it's a net positive for them. They form their own support systems for "the more interesting times" ahead of them, and we can be 100% that the next decade or two will be among the most interesting we will be facing in our lives.

for sure, agree with your point
