RE: Refusing to believe

Thanks to some tools which had been made for the Hive ecosystem, some things happen here on an automatic basis. Many of these things are good (such as automatic upvotes if we're part of someone's curation trail). Some of these things are bad (automatic DVs).

I mention this because there are people who don't post long form content for months and who don't comment on posts for even longer, yet they are considered "last active 30 minutes ago". There could be people who only curate; many people like that exist here. Just as likely is someone who has his account on auto-pilot and may not even be aware of the activities being done in the name of that account on auto-pilot.

If what's happening to you is being done by a Hiver whose account is on auto-pilot, responding to this person may be a waste of time. When would that person even be back to check notifications?

But if what's happening to you is by someone who is truly active without posting content of any kind-- which is possible-- then at the very least you deserve to know what you did to end up on such a list. If it was done in error, that can be rectified; that happens, too. If it was done on purpose, ask for proof.

If you've done all the investigating you could and determined the worse case scenario-- a non-posting manual curator-- is true, that would be a true shame, indeed.

You could make known this person's account name so that people can be on the lookout for him (very likely a "him"). You could put this person on your own automatic DV list. Although your DV will have no impact, it may drive him crazy that instead of having 10K upvotes on posts/comments he keeps getting 9,999 upvotes and that pesky 1 DV. Of course, this is to be done only when you know for a fact it is that specific person.

We have better things to do with our time on Hive, and we should be focusing not only on those things which bring us rewards ($HIVE, $HBD, $BTC, etc.) but also those things which add beauty and joy into our lives. But if someone who has that kind of time wants to step up and act as your champion behind the scenes, why stop that person from doing you the favor?

I may be Roman Catholic, and you may be Serbian Orthodox, but I believe that karma is real, and karma has been known to take place quickly in some cases. Karma, cosmic justice, whatever we want to call it. One way or another, karma will come after this person. How it happens, we just have to wait and see.
